ComplianceTrack

Terms of Service

Last updated: 1 September 2026

Important: not legal advice

ComplianceTrack is a reminder and tracking tool, not legal advice. UK landlord compliance rules (renewal cycles, applicability, MEES thresholds, HMO licensing rules) change over time and can vary by local authority. We do our best to keep the rules table current, but you should always confirm current requirements with gov.uk, your local council, or a qualified professional. If we get something wrong, that's on us to fix — but it doesn't replace your own due diligence.

1. The service

ComplianceTrack is a SaaS that helps UK landlords track compliance deadlines (Gas Safety Certificates, EICRs, EPCs, HMO licences, deposit protection, Right to Rent) and sends email reminders before items expire. We provide reminder emails and storage of compliance documents. We do not provide legal, financial or tax advice.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You agree to provide accurate information. You must be at least 18 years old and a UK-resident landlord (or an agent acting on behalf of one) to use the paid service.

3. Reminder reliability

The entire value of this service rests on reminders being sent. We run a daily scheduled job that sends reminders at 60, 30 and 7 days before any compliance item expires (and immediately for at-risk deposit protection deadlines). We deduplicate so you don't get the same reminder twice. We monitor the job and alert ourselves if it stops running. However, email delivery is not 100% reliable (spam folders, mailbox outages). You remain responsible for the underlying compliance.

4. Pricing and billing

Subscription tiers are defined on our Pricing page. All prices are in GBP and include VAT where applicable. We offer a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. After the trial you can subscribe monthly. Cancel any time from your account settings; access continues until the end of the billing period.

5. Refunds

14-day money-back guarantee on your first paid month, no questions asked. After that, we don't pro-rate refunds but we'll happily cancel your subscription going forward.

6. Your data

You own your data. We process it only to provide the service. You can export it any time and delete your account from settings. See our Privacy Policy.

7. Acceptable use

No reverse-engineering, no scraping, no uploading content that isn't yours, no using the service to spam people. We may suspend accounts that violate this.

8. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for missed deadlines, fines, invalidated Section 21 notices, invalidated insurance, or any other compliance-related consequence arising from use (or failure) of the service — those are your responsibility, supported by the tool, not delegated to it.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll email you at least 30 days before any material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
